NCO Training Centre "Sergeant Milunka Savić"

NCO Training Centre "Sergeant Milunka Savić" is intended to conduct training for NCO candidates and further specialization of NCOs through career courses.

It is located in the barracks "Narodni heroj Stevica Jovanović" in Pančevo.

NCO Training Centre comprises HQ, HQ Platoon, two Training Companies and NCO Specialization Company.

Colonel Predrag Vasović is the Commander of the NCO Training Centre "Sergeant Milunka Savić".

Tasks of the NCO TC

NCO Training Centre "Sergeant Milunka Savić" is tasked with:

Training of NCO candidates and further specialization of NCOs,
Creation and upgrade of programs of courses for NCO candidates and NCOs’ further specialization,
Planning and provision of material base and infrastructure for conducting training,
Studying the experiences of NCOs working in the Serbian Armed Forces units and foreign armed forces and proposing implementation of these experiences in the training and futher specialization of NCOs,
Participation in international military cooperation in the field of NCO candidates’ training and NCOs’ further specialization.

Training in NCO TC

The following courses are conducted at the NCO Training Centre "Sergeant Milunka Savić":

Leadership Course,
Basic NCO Course,
Advanced NCO Course,
Career courses (First Sergeant Course, Sergeants Major Course, Battle Staff NCO Course),
Specialist courses (Course for specialists 2nd class, Course for specialists 1st class),
Special-purpose courses (Training Instructors Courses, Training Certifiers Courses, Didactic and Methodological Courses, Courses for handlers of new weapons and military equipment).

Training Time and Duration

Time and duration of training is determined by training syllabus.

Basic NCO Course lasts 6 months, and it comprises three modules:

basic training, lasting up to 10 weeks, is conducted in the Centre in Pančevo,
specialized training, lasting up to 12 weeks, is conducted in Specialized Training centres, and
internship in the Serbian Armed Forces units – application of the acquired knowledge, lasting up to 3 weeks.

Upon completion of a Bacic NCO Course, the attendees are promoted to a rank of sergeant, and appointed to different positions within the Serbian Armed Forces in accordance with their military occupational specialties.

Recognizing the need to follow positive developments and solutions concerning the importance of NCO corps in the modern armed forces worldwide, the Serbian Armed Forces established NCO Training Centre of June 7, 2010.

Since October 1, 2021, the official name of the unit is NCO Training Centre "Sergeant Milunka Savić".
