Training and Doctrine Directorate (J-7)
Training and Doctrine Directorate (Ј-7) is an organizational unit of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff intended for the development and management of the training system within the defence system and for the development of doctrines and rules for the use of the Armed Forces.

Training and Doctrine Directorate (Ј-7) is the owner of the functions of training and doctrine for the defence system. Simulation Training Centre is directly subordinated to the Directorate.
Main tasks of the Training and Doctrine Directorate (Ј-7) are the following:
- Development, training and management of the training system;
- Development of system-normative documents for training;
- Planning, organizing and coordinating national and multinational exercises;
- Development of system documents and planning, organization and implementation of physical training and sports in the Armed Forces;
- Owner of the development of basic and derived doctrinal documents;
- Owner of the development and implementation of the system of lessons learned in the Serbian Armed Forces;
- Monitors and studies the development of doctrines in foreign armed forces, the development of the technological factor and its impact on the development of doctrines;
- Coordinates the activities of the Serbian Armed Forces arising from the membership of the Republic of Serbia in the Partnership for Peace program;
- Owner of the activities of the Serbian Armed Forces arising from participation in the Operational Capabilities Concept;
- Monitors, studies and analyses experiences from operations of foreign armed forces and the Serbian Armed Forces;
- Proposes organizational models of commands and units of the Armed Forces based on the rules of use.
Tradition of the Training and Doctrine Directorate (Ј-7)
Directorate was established in 2005 as the Training Directorate (G-7) of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff. The following year, the Directorate was transformed into the Training and Doctrine Directorate (J-7), and in 2007 it became the owner of the function of "training" in the defence system and the function of "doctrine" in the Serbian Armed Forces. In 2010, Simulation Training Centre was established as a unit directly subordinated to the Training and Doctrine Directorate (Ј-7).
