204th Air Force Brigade Day Marked

A military ceremony has been held at the Military Airfield “Colonel-Pilot Milenko Pavlović” in Batajnica today on the occasion of the Day of the 204th Air Force Brigade, marked in memory of 02 December 1949, when the 204th Air Force Fighter Regiment was formed.
In front of a ceremonial parade of the unit members, results of the year behind us were summarized and best individuals awarded, after which the wreaths and flowers were laid at the memorial "No one said ‘I won't’". On this occasion, appreciation certificates were also handed to the best pilots and mechanics, awarded traditionally in memory of Major Zoran Radosavljević, a pilot who died defending the country against NATO aggression in 1999.
While reviewing the achieved results, the 204th Air Force Brigade members’ high proficiency was highlighted, confirmed in numerous exercises and live firing in the country and abroad, and the improvement of the unit's capabilities by introducing new modern aircraft into operational use.
The ceremony was attended by Air Force and Air Defense Commander Lieutenant General Duško Žarković, representatives of the Serbian Armed Forces’ units, local government bodies, Serbian Orthodox Church and institutions the Brigade cooperates with.
