At the NCO Training Center Sergeant Milunka Savić in Pančevo, the second module of military training of civilian candidates for the posts of the Serbian Armed Forces’ NCOs is in progress.
This training model covers four modules during nine months in total; at the time being, the second class of NCO candidates, who passed the selection process following the job advertisement announced in April last year, is being trained.
The first two modules are implemented at the center in Pančevo where participants learn how to perform basic military tasks and develop leadership skills. Now, they are undergoing methodically close-order drills, firearms, tactical and physical fitness training, and learning how to command a group and a squad.
Further on, they will be sent to the Serbian Armed Forces’ specialist training centers and units for practical training in handling the assets unique to their branch/service, while in the last training phase they will be required to do internship in the Serbian Armed Forces’ units.
The candidates who come through all training stages successfully will become qualified to perform initial NCO roles specific to one’s branch/service, that is, they will satisfy the requirements for admission to professional military service as NCOs for an indefinite period of time.
