Soldiers on Military Service Tested on Their Skills

Thursday, 16.1.2025 | Training
The soldiers who started voluntary military service in early December last year have had their basic individual skills evaluated at the Serbian Armed Forces’ Training Centres in Sombor, Valjevo and Leskovac.

The check came after the initial phase of the first training period, during which soldiers of the December 2024 intake underwent basic individual tactical training, practiced operating personal weapons and performing internal duties, conducted their first firing and met the required physical fitness standards.

During the skills assessment, the soldiers carried out tactical assignments, which required them to apply the knowledge and skills they were provided with during a one-and-a-half-month stay at the Training Command Centres. The results show that they have completely mastered all training contents, which confirms that the training was well planned and executed.

Further on, during their military service, at the specialized training centres, soldiers will train to use combat assets and military equipment specific to their branch/ service in order to prepare for the final phase — collective training in the Serbian Armed Forces’ units.

The soldiers interested in admission to professional military service have the opportunity to apply for it now, to go through the prescribed procedure in a timely manner and meet the requirements to join the Serbian Armed Forces as professional members immediately after their military service.
