Reception on the Occasion of the Intelligence Service Day

The Deputy Commander of the Joint Operations Command, Major General Ilija Todorov hosted today a delegation of the Intelligence Service on the occasion of 5 March – the day of this service of the Serbian Armed Forces.
General Todorov congratulated the holiday to members of the delegation and expressed his confidence that by successfully conducting intelligence support tasks members of this service will continue to contribute to the strengthening of the Defence System of the Republic of Serbia.
Colonel Goran Zekić of the Intelligence and Reconnaissance Department (J-2) led the delegation.
The Day of the Intelligence Service is celebrated on 5 March to commemorate the day in 1884 when the Decree on General Staff Service was adopted, which for the first time in modern Serbia established a unit in charge of conducting the military intelligence.
