On Easter, Minister of Defense Bratislav Gašić and Deputy Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff Lieutenant General Tiosav Janković visited members of the 310th Air Defense Self-Propelled Missile Battalion in the vicinity of Kragujevac, engaged as part of the permanently deployed forces for control and protection of the Serbian airspace.

With warm holiday wishes, they recognized members of this unit that forms part of the 250th AD Missile Brigade for performing their tasks professionally and responsibly.

Minister Gašić expressed his satisfaction that he was spending Easter morning with members of the formation that received multiple decorations for its exceptional feats while defending the country.

— I am grateful, just as the citizens of the Republic of Serbia are grateful to you, for performing your tasks honorably, responsibly and professionally and protecting our sky even today on this holiday. On this day that celebrates the very core of Christianity — victory over death, let us also remember all the immortals who fell for the freedom of our country and people. Among them are members of your heroic 250th Missile Brigade. Your commitment, effort and dedication deserve and enjoy deepest respect from our people. I would like to tell the citizens of Serbia that, while they are celebrating in peace and well-being with their loved ones, members of the Serbian Armed Forces are protecting the freedom and independence of us all. It has always been and will always be like that — said Minister Gašić, wishing a happy Easter to all members of the Ministry of Defense and Serbian Armed Forces and all citizens of our country observing today’s holiday.

During today’s visit, there were Major General Brane Krnjajić, Air Force and Air Defense Commander, Brigadier General Novica Gogić, Commander of the 250th Air Defense Missile Brigade, and Lieutenant Colonel Aleksandar Simić, Commander of the 310th Air Defense Self-Propelled Missile Battalion, in attendance.
