Wednesday, 5.6.2024 | Training
Members of the fighter-bomber squadron in the 98th Air Force Brigade based at Morava Military Airfield near Kraljevo, are undergoing intensive training on the Orao (Eagle) attack aircraft.
The training is designed for aircrews and aircraft technicians to maintain proficiency in providing aerial fire support to ground and special forces on combat operations.
This training phase focuses on the execution of more complex combat tasks that require the employment of multiple aircraft.
During the training, which is conducted during both the day and night and in complex weather conditions, Orao pilots take on the roles of the flight leader and wingmen to practice tactical manoeuvres and the engagement of ground targets.
Aircraft technicians whose job is to prepare aircraft for use and check the functionality of the engine, radio-navigation equipment and weapons before, during and after flight, are actively involved in the training activities.
The squadron’s intensive training will continue in the coming period, strengthening the unit’s combat readiness and building trust between pilots and technicians, who closely collaborate during the execution of tasks.
