Ceremony on Occasion of Taking Military Oath

A ceremony was held at the “Field Marshal Živojin Mišić” Barracks in Valjevo today, where the soldiers on military service of the March 2025 intake and attendees of the Serbian Armed Forces’ reserve officer training course took the oath.
While pronouncing the words of the oath in front of the flag of the Republic of Serbia, soldiers and course participants solemnly pledged to protect and defend the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Serbia.
The solemn act of taking the military oath was attended by Minister of Defense Bratislav Gašić, Deputy Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff Lieutenant General Tiosav Janković, representatives of the organizational units of the Ministry of Defense and Serbian Armed Forces, local government bodies and religious communities, as well as relatives and friends of the young men and women who have joined the ranks of defenders of the fatherland today.
After taking the oath, the soldiers will undergo a period of intensive training and active involvement in the life and work of the Serbian Armed Forces’ units until the end of their military service, while the course participants will continue their military training at the University of Defense.
