The Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, held a working meeting today with the commanders of brigades and independent battalions of the Serbian Armed Forces.
During the meeting, they discussed the intelligence and security situation in our country and the region, which is of importance for the operational capabilities of the Serbian Armed Forces. They also discussed the staffing levels at units and the execution of main tasks.
After the participants’ presentations and discussion, General Mojsilović briefed the commanders of tactical units on the short-term plans and priorities in the process of building the capabilities of the Serbian Armed Forces and gave them work instructions for the upcoming period.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, Lt. Gen. Želimir Glišović, heads of several narrow internal units of the General Staff, commanders of operational units and command sergeant majors at brigade-sized units and independent battalions.
At the meeting, the Chief of the General Staff commended the officers, soldiers and civilians employed by the Serbian Armed Forces, who are loyal to their homeland and dedicated to their profession and perform their tasks for the benefit of citizens and the state — from deterring external threats of armed attack, to participating in peacekeeping operations and continuous capacity building, to helping communities affected by severe weather — and pointed out that the Serbian Armed Forces are and will be an important factor in ensuring peace, stability and prosperity of the Republic of Serbia.
