Reserve Component of Serbian Armed Forces Undergoes Routine Training

Routine annual training for the SAF reserve component is underway in the Army and Training Command units.
The aim is for reserve personnel to refresh their knowledge obtained during military service, familiarize themselves with modern principles governing the use of units and learn how to work with new assets of SAF weaponry.
There are infantrymen, artillerymen, soldiers of the armoured units, Engineer Corps and logistics services attending the training activity. In line with their military occupational specialties, they learn how to undertake tactical actions on the battlefield and use branch-specific weapons in combat, performing also logistics affairs related primarily to re-conservation and reparation of motor vehicles, medical care and preparation of food.
In parallel with soldier training, there are also specially designed training courses for reserve officers where they learn how to command subordinate tactical units.
Training of the reserve component follows the annual plans which fit the needs of SAF units and approved resources. As a result of it, there are soldiers and officers improving their skills and raising the overall Serbian Armed Forces’ capabilities to perform their missions and tasks.
