On the second day of the ‘Slavic Brotherhood 2016’ exercise, members of the Serbian, Russian and Belarusian armed forces conducted a series of practices at the Kovin airfield, ATFR Oresac, and CATG Pasuljanske livade.
On the second day of the ‘Slavic Brotherhood 2016’ exercise, members of the Serbian Armed Forces and the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus, conducted a series of practices at the Kovin airfield, Oresac Automated Tank Firing Range, and Combined Arms Training Ground Pasuljanske livade.
At the Kovin airfield, air descent of a BMD-2 armoured personnel carrier was practiced from the plane Il-76. Then the members of the Russian and Belarusian armies performed jumps from Ilyushin 76 with assault and wing-type parachutes. Members of the 63rd Paratrooper Battalion also performed jumps from Mi-17 helicopter with wing-type parachutes, and the final activity at the Kovin airport was a helicopter assault by members of the Belarusian armed forces and our Special Brigade from two helicopters Mi-8 and Mi-17.
Almost at the same time, at Oresac direct fire engagement system, members of the 1st Army Brigade and the Special Brigade practiced tactical actions and procedures of a platoon, as well as tactical actions and procedures of the platoon in the attack, and then members of the mechanized platoon from the 1st Brigade carried out live firing. Members of the Belarusian armed forces carried out shooting from an automatic rifle, 7.62 mm, and in the end the anti-terrorist parachute company from the Battalion for anti-terrorist operations carried out shooting from an automatic rifle "Heckler and Koch" 5.56 mm, sniper 308 and machine gun "minimi" 5,56 millimetres.
Pasuljanske livade training range, mechanized squads from the 1st Brigade carried out live firing, and then members of the First and the Special Brigade performed tactical live firing exercises in the framework of the "Platoon in the attack" exercise. Members of the Fifth Military Police Battalion conducted firing from machine guns M-86 from a combat police vehicle VPB M-86. Live shooting on ground targets was carried out by anti-tank missiles and 57 mm unguided rockets from Mi-8 and "Gamma" helicopters, and members of the Special Brigade carried out shooting from 64 mm hand-held rocket launchers.
