The SAF members on exercise in the Western Military District in Russia

The members of the 37th Mechanised Battalion which are to participate in a live-fire tactical exercise in the Western Military District of the Russian Armed Forces, departed last night for Russia.
The members of the 37th Mechanised Battalion which are to participate until 11th August in a live-fire tactical exercise in the Western Military District of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, departed last night for Russia.
The exercise, which involves the participation of around 70 members of the SAF Army, is going to be conducted on the training site “Kirilovski” in Vyborgsky region of Leningrad military district.
In the first phase of the exercise, Serbian soldiers with borrow the materiel, armament, individual protection kits and communication means and carry out the training on the training site. Later during the exercise they will, as part of a tactical group, practice execution of different reconnaissance activities in the assigned area of responsibility and the neutralisation of enemy airborne combat groups.
Apart from the enhancement of the level of training for the execution of intended tasks, the objective of the exercise is to strengthen interoperability of the two armed forces.
The members of the SAF Army will be the only members of foreign armed forces to participate in this exercise of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
