Tuesday, 13.8.2024 | Training
At the Military Airfield “Colonel-Pilot Milenko Pavlović” in Batajnica, selective flight training is underway for cadet candidates for the Military Aviation Study Program of the Military Academy and for participants in the Military Aviation Reserve Officer Course.
Selective flight training is conducted by flight instructors from the 252nd Training Squadron, and is intended for candidates who have successfully completed necessary preparations, medical examinations and theoretical part of training.
Flight training takes place in stages — candidates first pass the theoretical part, after which they access the practical part, that is, training in the air, during which they undergo selection after a certain number of flying hours with the “Utva 75”.
As Senior Flight Instructor of the 252nd Squadron Captain 1st Class Viktor Nedeljkovic explains, this is the second part of the candidates’ selection for the Military Academy and for the Military Aviation Reserve Officer Course.
— The candidates’ motivation is at the expected high level. In that respect, they are no different from any previous class - Captain 1st Class Nedeljković pointed out.
Cadet candidates who successfully pass selective flight training will continue their training at the Military Academy, while Military Aviation Reserve Officer Course candidates will be admitted to professional military service after successful completion of the course and will start their flight training for SAF pilots.
