Oath-Taking Ceremony for Soldiers on Military Service

A military ceremony was held at the “Field Marshal Živojin Mišić” Barracks in Valjevo today, where the soldiers who undertook voluntary military service in June 2023 took the military oath.
In front of the flag of the Republic of Serbia, they pledged to protect and defend the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Serbia.
The youngest soldiers are now expected to continue intensive basic training and, subsequently, to be trained for the duties for which they were recruited and be actively involved in the life and work of units of the Serbian Armed Forces, until the end of their military service.
The oath-taking ceremony was attended by Minister of Defense Miloš Vučević, Commander of the Training Command Major General Željko Petrović, representatives of units of the Serbian Armed Forces, local government bodies and religious communities, as well as relatives and friends of the young men and women who took the oath.
