Visit to Special Purpose Military Police Detachment „Kobre“

The Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, visited today members of the Special Purpose Military Police Detachment “Kobre” at their home station in Vasa Čarapić Barracks in Belgrade.

During the tour, he inspected the living and working arrangements, the degree of completion of primary tasks, training facilities and the speed of delivery of the infrastructure project involving the construction of a new accommodation, training and recreation facility.   

Via a video link, General Mojsilović, accompanied by the Commander of the Gendarmerie, Colonel Saša Kosović, watched from the unit’s operations centre the execution of the joint tactical exercise Kolubara 2024, which is being conducted by members of Kobre and Gendarmerie at a provisional exercise area in Vreoci.

The goal of the exercise is to improve the unit’s ability to plan, organize and carry out anti-terrorism operations in urban and rural environments.

At the end of his visit, the Chief of the General Staff expressed his satisfaction with the state of affairs in the unit and the personnel’s skill in solving tactical tasks in conjunction with members of the Ministry of the Interior during the execution of a special operation. He also said that further investments would be made in the facilities of this SAF unit whose responsibility is to address contemporary security threats.
