Military Police Training in Army Units

The MP battalions of the Army are conducting intensive training of individuals and units for performing MP and general security tasks in the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces.
The training activity is carried out for the purpose of training professional staff, additional training of newly admitted soldiers and officers and sustaining the required high level of combat readiness of the units.
In this phase, in accordance with their specialties, military policemen primarily practice the tactics, techniques and procedures for securing the areas, facilities and protected persons, using Military Working Dogs and modern weapons and equipment of MP units of the Serbian Armed Forces. Except for adopting the principles and tactics of security protection, special attention is paid to teamwork and proper exercise of official authorities, having in mind that this is a prerequisite for a successful implementation of specific MP tasks.
The forthcoming period will see more complex training contents in the training area and at specialized training grounds of the Serbian Armed Forces, including tactical drills, tactical exercises and live firing.
The MP units are equipped with modern assets and weapons of domestic and foreign production, which, along with constant training, ensures the required ability to fulfill efficiently the given duties and assignments stipulated by law, other regulations and commanders’ orders in all three missions of the Serbian Armed Forces.
