Visit by Delegation of Ohio National Guard

As part of the State Partnership Program of Serbia and Ohio, a delegation of the National Guard of that American state, led by Assistant Adjutant General for Air Major General David Johnson, paid a visit to our country which lasted several days.

The visit is a continuation of the long-standing successful cooperation in the areas of common interest, this time the focus being on the exchange of professional experience in the field of air force operations and cyber security and cooperation between military orchestras.

The Ohio delegation participated in a round table at the Air Force and Air Defense Command, led by deputy commander of this operational unit of the Serbian Armed Forces, Major General Brane Krnjajić, where the interoperability in the field of air force operations was discussed.

During the visit, expert talks on flight safety and aviation technical maintenance were also held by Air Force delegations of the Serbian Armed Forces and Ohio National Guard. 

During his stay in our country, General Johnson also visited the IT and Signals Training Center in Gornji Milanovac, where he was presented with the capabilities of this Serbian Armed Forces’ specialist center and possibilities of cooperation in the field of cyber security.

By implementing such activities between the Serbian Armed Forces and Ohio National Guard, the interoperability of the armed forces is improved, contributing to the development of the overall military-to-military relations between Serbia and the United States of America.
