Marking the Day of Remembrance of the NATO Aggression Victims

The Day of Remembrance of the victims of the NATO aggression against the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia was marked today by commemorative ceremonies in the Serbian Armed Forces commands, units and institutions and laying wreaths and flowers at the memorials to the fallen members of the Yugoslav Army in all garrisons.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Nebojša Stefanović, PhD, laid wreaths at the "Monument to Victims of the 1990-2000 Wars and the NATO Aggression against the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia in 1999" and in the "Toplica Uprising" barracks in Kuršumlija.
The Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, laid a wreath at the Glasnik Monument on the Straževica hill. The Deputy Chief of the General Staff, Major General Petar Cvetković, laid a wreath at the "Monument to the Fallen Soldiers in the 1990-1999 Wars" in Prokuplje.
The Army delegation laid wreaths at the Memorial Chapel and the Monument to the Victims of the NATO Aggression in 1999 in the centre of Niš.
The Air Force and Air Defence delegation, led by Commander Major General Duško Žarković, laid a wreath at the Memorial to the Fallen Members of the Air Force and Air Defence, near the Command building in Zemun.
The Guard Commander, Major General Milomir Todorović, laid a wreath at the Memorial in front of the University Hospital Centre "Dr Dragiša Mišović".
The Day of Remembrance of the NATO aggression victims, which began on this day 22 years ago, is traditionally marked in the Serbian Armed Forces commands, units and institutions, and by laying wreaths members of the Serbian Armed Forces have joined marking the Day of Remembrance at a local level.
Commemorative ceremonies were held in compliance with all prescribed measures for the containment and prevention of the spread of the infectious disease Covid-19.
