Training for Air Force and Air Defence NCOs

This month, the Training Command units have started to deliver the advancement program for Air Force and Air Defence NCO Course participants (3rd class). The Course participants have completed successfully the selection process in a public competition in February this year.
The Course lasts for six months; it consists of four modules after which attenders are promoted to the rank of Sergeant becoming SAF professional members.
The first two modules, during which course participants acquire necessary knowledge of basic military duties and develop leadership skills in commanding squads, are executed at "Sergeant Milunka Savić" NCO Training Centre. Future NCOs will then be referred to specialist training in the AF and AD Training Centre to receive practical training in handling the branch/service-specific assets.
The last educational phase takes place in SAF units where candidates are to get job-specific training in aircraft maintenance and for technicians’ duties as well as radar and missile systems operators’ duties, so as to be prepared for their Air Force and Air Defence officers positions.
