Training with Digitalized System

Professional members of the 1st Army Brigade unit armed with the digitalized self-propelled multiple launch rocket system 128 mm M-17 "Oganj" are undergoing their routine training at "Boško Palkovljević Pinki" Barracks’ training grounds in Sremska Mitrovica.
The aim of the training, conducted in cycles throughout the year, is to maintain and enhance this modernized artillery system's combat capabilities and to provide fire support to Army units.
In this period, the unit's members go through various contents of tactical training such as training the crews in taking up the fire position, target identification, calculation of initial firing elements, fire correction, and they prepare for executing exercise activities on the ground and artillery live firing. Training also involves the participation of soldiers doing their military service as of March 2022, who are being skilled in executing collective assignments under the three-month specialist training program in this artillery unit.
Modernization of the self-propelled multiple launch rocket system "Oganj" has significantly increased the SAF artillery units’ fire capabilities for projecting sudden and concentrated artillery fire against large targets and these units’ overall capabilities for rapid and efficient execution of intended tasks on combat operations.
