This month, members of the Serbian Armed Forces are delivering educational lectures in elementary schools on the risks of using pyrotechnic devices.
The lectures are held as part of the CIMIC project “Military Pyrotechnician in Elementary School” in anticipation of the holidays, when these devices are predominantly used. This month, lectured have been conducted in schools in Veliko Gradište, Zaječar, Gornji Milanovac, Kruševac and Kuršumlija, and by the end of the year they will be held in the Belgrade municipalities of Grocka, Palilula, Rakovica and Sopot as well.
The goal of the project, which is implemented on an annual basis, is to raise the awareness of elementary school students of the dangers of using pyrotechnic devices, thus contributing to children safety.
Specialists from the Serbian Armed Forces’ Training Command and Central Logistics Base briefed the elementary school students on the dangers of firecrackers, fireworks, flares and other explosive devices, and proper behavior in case of encountering UXOs.
They asked them to avoid using pyrotechnic devices, having in mind that these devices can have serious consequences, not only on the property but also on the lives and health of people and animals.
In addition to this project, the Serbian Armed Forces also implement a number of other CIMIC activities, which improve the quality of life of the citizens of the Republic of Serbia and their safety, strengthening at the same time mutual confidence, which will be done in the future as well.
