Serbian-Russian Exercise "Slavic Shield 2021"

Members of the Serbian Armed Forces Air Force and Air Defence and the Aerospace Forces of the Russian Federation Armed Forces are conducting a live fire tactical exercise "Slavic Shield 2021" this week.
The topic of the joint exercise, which is being held on military ranges and in the airspace of the Republic of Serbia, is the organization and execution of anti-aircraft actions in the protection of the territory and own forces.
In accordance with the exercise scenario, a joint air defence group of the Serbian Armed Forces and the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation will be formed, which will practice combat actions and procedures in the operation to protect the strategic facility from reconnaissance and air operations.
The implementation of such exercises improves the training of the Air Force and Air Defence command and units for conducting air defence operations, facilitates exchange of experience, strengthens bilateral military cooperation and raises the interoperability of the Serbian Armed Forces.
