Remembrance Day for Victims of NATO Aggression Marked

Remembrance Day for Victims of NATO Aggression against the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia has been marked today by commemoration gatherings at the Serbian Armed Forces’ commands, units and establishments and by laying wreaths and flowers at the memorials honoring fallen members of the Yugoslav Armed Forces.
A delegation of the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces, led by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Miloš Vučević, laid a wreath at the memorial "To the Heroes of the 37th Motorized Brigade" in "Stefan Nemanja" Barracks in Raška.
Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff General Milan Mojsilović participated in a commemoration gathering at "Banjica Barracks" in Belgrade; on that occasion, he laid a wreath at the memorial to members of the Air Defence missile units killed in NATO aggression against the FRY.
Paying tribute to the perished in a bombing campaign which began on this day 24 years ago, General Mojsilović has pointed out that members of the Serbian Armed Forces proudly keep the memory of soldiers and policemen who laid down their lives while defending their fatherland, but also of all those innocent victims of a brutal act of aggression against a sovereign country.
In addition, together with his collegium, General Mojsilović will attend a central state ceremony marking the Remembrance Day for Victims of NATO Aggression at St. George’s Square in Sombor, which will also be attended by Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces and President of the Republic Aleksandar Vučić, Minister of Defence Miloš Vučević, representatives from the Government of the Republic of Serbia, religious communities and numerous citizens.
Members of the Serbian Armed Forces took part in the commemoration activities in all garrisons and garrison places, organized on the occasion of the Remembrance Day by towns and municipalities, fighters’ and other associations that cherish military traditions.
