Serbian Аir force at "Airpower 11" air show in Austria

Members of the Air Force Army of Serbia and Technical Testing Center took part in an international air show "Airpower 11" held from 1-2 July in Zeltweg based in Austria. Among more than 200 aircraft from 22 countries which took part in the flying program or have been exhibited for the visitors to see at this one of the largest aviation events in Europe, SAF air force presented Supergaleb G-4, and transport aircraft Antonov An-26.

Members of the Air Force Army of Serbia and Technical Testing Center took part in an international air show "Airpower 11" held from 1-2 July in Zeltweg based in Austria.

Among more than 200 aircraft from 22 countries which took part in the flying program or have been exhibited for the visitors to see at this one of the largest aviation events in Europe, SAF air force presented Supergaleb G-4, and transport aircraft Antonov An-26. These planes stirred great interest of aviation enthusiasts who came to Austria from the region but also from other continents.

About 290,000 visitors, with nearly 400 accredited journalists, were able to watch planes and helicopters from Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Croatia, as well as replicas and replicas of restored historic aircrafts.

Brigadier General Sreto Malinovic, deputy Air Force commander who led the delegation of SAF to Austria, had several meetings with commanders and representatives of participating countries air forces.

"Excellent cooperation between the defense ministries of Serbia and Austria as well as the two air forces have resulted in our visit to this great international event in the Austrian Air Force base Zeltweg. This is for us the deepening of cooperation that began with the participation of the Austrian Air Force at air show "Batajnica 2009," said General Malinovic and emphasized the "hospitality of the host, Austrian Air Force commander Gen. Gruber and all his staff members."

Assessing the "Airpower 11" air show as an excellent and highly organized event, General Malinovic expressed confidence that the Ministry of Defense and the Army of Serbia would take this as a model to celebrate one hundred years of Serbian Air Force next year.

The members of the Air Forces Command, 204 and 98 Aviation Brigade, 138 transport and aviation escadrille and the Technical Testing Center took part at the air show.
