Exercise of 1st Army Brigade’s Mechanized Battalion

The HQ of one of the 1st Army Brigade’s Mechanized Battalions conducts an exercise at the SAF Simulations Training Center, this week.
This computer-assisted simulation exercise aims to check the ability of the unit's HQ to plan, organize and execute actions on combat operations of the Serbian Armed Forces.
During the exercise activities, knowledge of the principles governing the use of the mechanized battalion on operations, interoperability with the Army, Air Force and Air Defense units as well as cooperation with civilian elements are checked.
The focus is on undertaking tactical actions and staff procedures in the phase of operations, analyzing on a daily basis the command’s work in the process of making decisions at all command levels.
Computer-assisted simulation exercises represent an important form of practical training of SAF HQs since they provide an opportunity for staff officers and HQs to train themselves for planning and executing combat operations using the minimum amount of material resources.
