In accordance with an order issued by Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces and President of the Republic, Aleksandar Vučić, members of the Serbian Armed Forces’ Guard have conducted a gun salute from the Sava Terrace in Kalemegdan today, on the eve of the Serbian Armed Forces’ Day - April 23.

Minister of Defense Bratislav Gašić and Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff General Milan Mojsilović attended the ceremony of six artillery pieces firing 10 volleys each.

The Serbian Armed Forces celebrate their holiday on April 23, in memory of the day when the Second Serbian Uprising broke out in 1815, an event that represented a turning point in the creation of the modern Serbian state and armed forces.
