This training is part of scheduled flight crews’ training done in cycles throughout the year to sustain and raise the level of proficiency in using these helicopters on SAF operations.

According to the training plan, the flying tasks are performed in favorable and complex meteorological conditions, day and night, and on this occasion, pilots practice tactical procedures during landing on and taking off from unsecured terrain, flying in low areas, and doing terrain reconnaissance and search.

Along with flight training, technical personnel of all specialties train to implement efficiently procedures for performing specialist technical inspections of helicopters, checking the functioning of engines, radio-navigation equipment and weapons, keeping the focus in particular on additional training of young officers recently appointed to the unit.
