Celebration of Holidays of Serbian Armed Forces Units

Day of the Central Logistic Base, Day of the Army Training Center, Day of the Banat Brigade and Day of the Peacekeeping Operations Center were marked today in the Serbian Armed Forces.

On this occasion, military ceremonies were held in these Serbian Armed Forces units, where the results of work in the previous period were summarized and awards and commendations were presented to the most deserving individuals.

Day of the Central Logistics Base was marked by a military ceremony at the Command of this largest logistics unit of the Serbian Armed Forces in Belgrade, in memory of November 16, 1992, when the 608th rear base was formed.

Today, members of the Army Training Center celebrated their holiday in memory of November 16, 1918 and the beginning of the battle that represents one of the greatest victories of the Serbian military in history - the Battle of Kolubara - at the "General Pavle Jurišić Šturm" barracks in Požarevac.

The members of the Banat Brigade marked their day with a ceremony at the "National Hero Svetozar Marković Toza" barracks in Zrenjanin in commemoration of November 17, 1918, when the victorious Serbian military entered what was then Veliki Bečkerek.

Day of the Peacekeeping Operations Center was marked with a ceremony at the "Banjica" barracks in Belgrade in memory of November 17, 1956, when the advance party of the Yugoslav People's Army Detachment was deployed to the United Nations Emergency Force in Sinai.
