Today, as part of his regular visits to the Serbian Armed Forces’ units, Minister of Defense Bratislav Gašić has visited the 3rd Training Center at the Field Marshal Petar Bojović Barracks in Leskovac.

On that occasion, he was able to see the implementation of critical tasks and plans for the next period in this Training Command unit and discussed with the Center’s personnel the working conditions and their improvement, accommodation facilities and the challenges they face.

He recognized the unit members for the results achieved and the efforts they invested while training the soldiers.

— Members of this center play a vital role in training soldiers on voluntary military service. They make huge efforts in forming physically fit, trained and motivated soldiers, and I express my deep recognition for that. Since their work is mainly focused on training young men and women for military profession, I am sure that they will be equally successful while training soldiers during regular military service, when the decision is made on that. We will continue with the investments in infrastructure and equipment, in order to ensure the best possible working and training conditions for both soldiers on military service and members of the 3rd Center - said Minister Gašić.

At the memorial in the Leskovac barracks, the Minister of Defense paid tribute to the heroes of the defense of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia who were killed in the area of responsibility of the 549th Motorized Brigade.

During the visit, Head of the Training and Doctrine Directorate (J-7) Brigadier General Muharem Fazlić, Head of the Office of the Minister of Defense Brigadier General Goran Momčilović and Deputy Commander of the Training Command Brigadier General Nebojša Cvetković were in attendance.
