Distinguished Visitors Day at "Platinum Wolf 21" Еxercise

A day of distinguished visitors was held at the "South" base near Bujanovac as part of the international exercise "Platinum Wolf 21", conducted by members of the Serbian Armed Forces and the armed forces of nine other countries.
This year's exercise, which takes place from 3 to 18 June, is attended by more than 500 members of the Serbian Armed Forces and the armed forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Greece, Hungary, Romania, Slovenia, the United States, France and the United Kingdom, as well as observers from Italy. The aim of the exercise is to improve the interoperability and mutual understanding of members of the armed forces of partner countries at the tactical level, during the implementation of a peace support operation in a multinational environment.
This year, for the first time, members of the armed forces of France and Greece are participating in the "Platinum Wolf", while along with 259 members of the Serbian Armed Forces, the contingent of the British Armed Forces with 69 members is the most numerous.
The distinguished visitors’ day of the "Platinum Wolf 2021" exercise is the crown of a two-week joint training, which ends with the tactical exercise "Peacekeeping Operation". It is a presentation of tactics, techniques and procedures in multinational operations with the use of non-lethal force.
Observers had the opportunity to observe the tactical actions of multinational units in 12 sequences - convoy, blockades with "Humvee" and "Lazar" combat vehicles, securing the base and infantry patrol, helicopter landing, raiding a populated area, attack on a terrorist vehicle, arresting a terrorist, the use of forensic procedures and medical evacuation.
The distinguished visitors’ day was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, PhD Neboša Stefanović, Minister of Defence of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Ben Wallace, Deputy Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, Lieutenant General Petar Cvetković, senior officers of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces and representatives of the military diplomatic corps.
As in previous years, the organizer of the exercise is the Fourth Army Brigade, in cooperation with the Center for Training Units for Multinational Operations.
