Specialist Training of Reconnaissance Soldiers

Soldiers performing their military service as of June 2022 who are being trained in reconnaissance specialties are undergoing intense training at military training ground "Peskovi" and "General Pavle Jurišić Šturm" Barracks in Požarevac.
This is a specialist level of soldiers' training during which they learn how to handle arms and military equipment used in SAF reconnaissance units and master fully tactical actions needed for conducting combat actions efficiently as part of reconnaissance groups and teams.
The focus is on practical drills performed by a reconnaissance patrol while observing the battlefield and gathering intelligence, learning orientation skills and movement on the unfamiliar ground using a map, firing from infantry weapons and exercises with mines and explosive ordnance.
Reconnaissance soldiers receive their individual specialist training at the Army Training Centre. It is two and a half months long having in mind the complexity of military duties they are trained in. The results achieved so far indicate that this is another class of soldiers on military service that is highly motivated for training, providing a good base for selecting professional soldiers in SAF reconnaissance units.
