New Year’s Humanitarian Campaign at Batajnica Airfield

A traditional New Year’s humanitarian campaign of handing gift bags to children with developmental disabilities has taken place at Airfield “Colonel-Pilot Milenko Pavlović” in Batajnica today, with the arrival of Santa Claus and Good Fairies by a Serbian Armed Forces plane.
This event has been organized since 2011 by members of the 204th Air Force Brigade and “Smile as a Gift” Humanitarian Foundation in order to make the upcoming holidays more beautiful for the residents of institutions dedicated to promoting the rights of persons with developmental disabilities and their active inclusion in all the realms of social life, in addition to handing gift bags, socializing and taking photos.
Protégés of the Association for Helping People with Developmental Disabilities “Let’s Live Together” from Belgrade and Association for Helping Children and Adults with Developmental Disabilities and Impairments “Razlikovnica” from Pećinci, with smiles on their faces, welcomed Santa Claus and Good Fairies who landed on Batajnica Airfield.
As the transport plane C-295 from the 138th Transport Squadron arrived, they were able to enter it and mingle with the crew.
Socializing with Santa Claus, Good Fairies and hosts continued in one of the 204th Air Force Brigade’s facilities, where New Year’s gift bags were handed out to everyone’s delight.
Members of the Serbian Armed Forces actively participate in numerous humanitarian campaigns, thus showing that they are always ready to provide help and support to the most vulnerable, adhering to the basic values of military profession.
