Minister Vulin Spends Holiday in the Ground Safety Zone

Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin, accompanied by Lieutenant General Milosav Simović and Brigadier General Ilija Todorov, visited the base “Šušnjak” and wished happy Easter to its members.
Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin, accompanied by Commander of the Ground Safety Zone Lieutenant General Milosav Simović and Head of Department for Intelligence-Reconnaissance Affairs Brigadier General Ilija Todorov, visited the base “Šušnjak” and wished happy Easter to its members.
- Every day, and even during holidays, the Serbian Armed Forces secure their territory and protect our way of life. The armed forces are always there for their citizens and they are ready to preserve the peace, our property, territorial integrity and sovereignty – the minister of defence pointed out and added that the armed forces guarantee peace not only in the territory of Serbia, but in the area of the entire Balkans - since a strong and stable Serbia means safe and stable Balkans.
- At this moment, the situation is absolutely calm all over our territory. There are no negative occurrences in the Ground Safety Zone and we believe that it will remain as such – the minister of defence stressed.
In conversation with commanding officers and soldiers, Minister Vulin said: “You, who completed all the schools and passed rigorous tests, know what kind of self-denial you are facing. One can always find another job. But, that is not the thing that keeps you here. I know how much you love our armed forces. Protect your Serbia! We have not a single foot of our land to spare. No one can pass around here as he likes and do what he likes as long as you are here.
Later, Vulin extended greetings to all the citizens of Serbia who today celebrate Easter, on behalf of all the members of the Serbian Armed Forces and Ministry of Defence and said:
- Serbia is as strong and safe as its values upon which it is founded, are strong and safe. These values are freedom, peace, security for every citizen of our country. I ask you to think of your Serbia during these holidays as well, and to be with it both in good and less good times. Serbia has learnt to preserve its freedom.
The base Commander Lieutenant Stefan Biserčić reported to the minister, while the 2nd Army Brigade Commander Colonel Željko Kuzmanović informed Vulin about the security situation in the area of responsibility of that base. He said that providing security was carried out through regular and planned engagement of personnel in the base and area and pointed out that all possible attempts at breaching security would be pre-empted and prevented.
