SEMINAR ON THE ROLE OF NCOs IN OPERATIONS

In the organization of the Training and Doctrine Department of SAF GS a three-day regional seminar was held in Belgrade on the role of NCOs in operations in settlements.

In the organization of the Training and Doctrine Department of SAF GS a three-day regional seminar was held in Belgrade on the role of NCOs in operations in settlements.

The instructors at the seminar were the representatives of the EUCOM, Captain Ryan Bromenschenkel and Senior Sergeant Bryan Bowman. They held lectures for 25 attendants from SAF and 15 attendants of the course from Hungary, Montenegor and Macedonia. During the lectures, they shared the experiences of US Armed Forces from Iraq and Afghanistan.

The purpose of the seminar is getting acquainted with the standard procedures, and task solving in operations in urban areas. The focus of the seminar was on learning the basic principles in a settlement as well as to get acquainted with the role of NCOs in military operations at the tactical level.

Colonel Branko Deletic, Deputy Head of the Department for Doctrine and Training of SAF GS, in his address stressed that we had witnessed the process of migrations from rural to urban areas especially in these times, due to terrorism, which is why we should look into ways of responding to current challenges, risks and threats.
