Based on the request of the local government in cooperation with the Ministry for Public Investment, this month the Serbian Armed Forces engineering units are carrying out work on the repair and reconstruction of road communications in the territory of the municipalities of Ljig, Mionica and Sjenica.

In the villages of Ključ near Mionica and Brančić in the municipality of Ljig, the engineering work group repairs damaged village roads, digs and widens canals and installs culverts that will prevent the road from collapsing in the event of heavy rainfall.

The works are almost finished, and this engineering group from the 3rd Army Brigade continues its engagement in the nearby village of Kadina Luka, where the plan is to dig a canal to drain excess water, as well as fill and roll the damaged section of the road.

In the municipality of Sjenica, the reconstruction of macadam roads in the villages of Buđevo and Crvsko began today. The works are carried out by engineers of the 2nd Army Brigade with the use of modern engineering machinery that the unit was equipped with in previous years.

In accordance with the annual engagement plans, the engineers of the Serbian Armed Forces are also carrying out works on the reconstruction of local roads in Jastrebac, which will be used by the local residents of the region in addition to the units of the Serbian Armed Forces.

By engaging in the rehabilitation and reconstruction of roads, the ability of the members of the road specialty engineering units to conduct specific tasks is improved and at the same time it helps the local community in creating conditions for unhindered life and work, which means that the members of the Serbian Armed Forces show that they are always and everywhere at the service of the citizens.
