Sports Competition of Serbian and Hungarian Officers

A traditional sports meeting of generals and high-ranking officers of the Serbian and Hungarian armed forces in indoor football was held today in Szeged in accordance with the annual plan of bilateral military cooperation between the Republic of Serbia and Hungary.
The competition between football teams from two friendly countries, the fifteenth in a row, was played in a fair and sporting atmosphere, and this time, after better penalty kicks, the Hungarian team won.
Our team was led by the Deputy Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, Lieutenant General Želimir Glišović, and the hosts were led by Major General Zoltán Somogyi, Director of the General Staff of the Hungarian Defence Forces.
Sports meetings between Serbian and Hungarian officers have been held since 2015, alternately in Serbia and Hungary, and represent one of the numerous bilateral activities, which are performed with the aim of improving operational capabilities and interoperability, as well as strengthening mutual trust and good neighborly relations.
