Day of 98th Air Force Brigade

Members of the 98th Air Force Brigade have solemnly celebrated the Day of the Unit – 28 November, in memory of the day when the 98th Fighter Air Force Regiment was formed in 1949, whose tradition is continued by this SAF unit.
As part of the holiday celebration at the Military Airfield Morava near Kraljevo, there were a parade of the Brigade members and a display of Air Force assets, critical achievements in building operational capabilities were presented, awards handed to the most successful individuals and wreaths laid at the airfield’s memorial. The documentary film “History of 98th Air Force BDE” also premiered.
Looking back on the results achieved in the year behind us, further progress in acquisition of combat assets and their modernization was highlighted, as well as professionalism and high proficiency of the Brigade members confirmed while performing all assigned tasks, making full contribution to strengthening the operational capabilities of Air Force and Air Defense.
The ceremony was attended by Air Force and Air Defense Commander Lieutenant General Duško Žarković, representatives of SAF units, local government bodies, Serbian Orthodox Church, institutions with which the Brigade cooperates and numerous guests.
