Advanced first aid course is underway at the Logistics Training Centre in Niš, attended by officers, non-commissioned officers, professional soldiers and civilians serving in the Serbian Armed Forces who do not provide emergency medical care.
During the four-week training, participants are trained to care for the injured at the scene of the accident and their evacuation, in peacetime and wartime, as well as in case of natural disasters.
The priority in the training is practice of techniques and procedures used in providing first aid, from the initial assessment of the injured, through triage and examination of patients according to the checklist to repairing the injuries.
Upon completion of this course, which is the third level of training for first aid, participants are fully trained for the effective use of integral and additional medical devices during emergency care of the injured in various situations, as well as for the application of techniques and procedures used to prevent further deterioration of health of the injured and sick.
