The Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, Lieutenant General Milan Mojsilović has sent congratulations on the occasion of 21 February, the Day of IT Service and the Day of the Command and Information Systems and IT Support Centre (CISISC).
CONGRATULATORY MESSAGE TO MEMBERS OF THE IT SERVICE, ON THE 21 FEBRUARY, THE DAY OF THE SERVICE
On behalf of members of the Serbian Armed Forces and myself, I congratulate the Day of the IT Service, 21 February to all members of the service.
You celebrate the holiday to commemorate the day of the 21 February 1963, when was established the Data Processing Centre of the 6th Department, which got equipped with the first computer system UNIVAC-1004 the very next year.
The exchange of information in contemporary warfare is a prerequisite for successful command and the outcome of a war. The continuous improvement of the members of the IT Service and monitoring the development of IT technology, software and hardware development is imperative for all modern armed forces in the world.
Confident that in the future you will accomplish set tasks and contribute to the development of data transfer, exchange, processing and protection in the Serbian Armed Forces, I congratulate you the holiday.
