Chief of General Staff Visits Company “Zastava Arms”

Today, Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff General Milan Mojsilović has visited the joint-stock company for the production and sale of weapons “Zastava Arms” (Zastava oružje) from Kragujevac.
During the visit, he spoke with Director General Saša Milošević and the factory’s top managers about current projects, production facilities and plans for the future, after which he visited the production facilities for small arms.
On this occasion, the Chief of the General Staff was presented with a high-quality management system in the field of design, development, production and servicing of weapons, production of machines, accessories, parts and packages and performance of general mechanical works, as well as characteristics and potential of some of the assets from the production program the Serbian Armed Forces’ units are or could be equipped with.
General Mojsilović has expressed his belief that thanks to the significant financial resources granted by the Government of the Republic of Serbia to the company “Zastava Arms” for the improvement of production facilities and acquisition of new technologies, the factory’s technological potential for producing modern and reliable weapons for the needs of the Serbian Armed Forces will be improved.
Today, in the presence of the Chief of the General Staff, a final qualitative acceptance of a new contingent of small arms from the “Zastava Arms” production program has been conducted, which enabled its handover to the Serbian Armed Forces and distribution for further use by the units. The acceptance was conducted by a commission from the Ministry of Defense and Serbian Armed Forces responsible for the qualitative acceptance of finished products from the market.
During today’s visit, the Chief of the General Staff has been accompanied by Assistant Minister of Defence for Material Resources Nenad Miloradović PhD, Head of the Logistics Directorate (J-4) Major General Srđan Petković, Head of the Development and Equipment Directorate (J-5) Brigadier General Milan Popović, Commander of the 63rd Parachute Brigade Brigadier General Nenad Zonić and Head of Office of the Chief of the General Staff Colonel Slađan Hristov.
