Visiting the Defence Operations Centre

There are no holidays for the Serbian Armed Forces and it fully preserves the security of our country and all our citizens, defence minister Aleksandar Vulin said as he visited the Defence Operations Centre in Belgrade together with Major General Petar Cvetković, deputy chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces, and Major General Ilija Todorov, deputy commander of the Joint Operations Command, on the first day of 2020.
Minister Vulin received reports via video link from the operations centres of the Army Command, the Air Force and Air Defence, and the Training Command, about the main tasks and the situation in the units, and spoke with senior national representative and commander of the national contingent of members of the Serbian Armed Forces engaged in multinational operations in Lebanon and the Central African Republic.
- In the Ground Security Zone, the situation is calm, stable; there is no threat to the security of our members. In peacekeeping missions, wherever our members are, the safety of all our members is the highest priority, and we are pleased to note that in all peacekeeping missions the situation is calm and under control. All members of the Serbian Armed Forces are healthy, there are no injured people, they think of their country – minister Vulin said.
As he assured himself that the Serbian Armed Forces accomplishes all the tasks as planned, Minister Vulin extended best wishes to all members of the Serbian Armed Forces in the New Year 2020, wishing them personal wellbeing and family happiness, and all those on international missions to return to their families as soon as possible.
