Marking of Holidays of the Command for Deployment of the Banat Brigade and the Peacekeeping Operations Centre

Military ceremonies on the occasion of the Command for Deployment of the Banat Brigade and the Day of the Peacekeeping Operations Centre were held today in Zrenjanin and Belgrade.
Command for Deployment of the Banat Brigade personnel marked the Day of the unit in the barracks "NH Svetozar Markovic Toza" in Zrenjanin, in memory of November 17, 1918, when the victorious Serbian military entered a location then called Veliki Beckerek.
Peacekeeping Operations Centre personnel marked their day with a ceremonial gathering in the Banjica barracks in Belgrade, in memory of November 17, 1956, when the Yugoslav National Army advance party was sent to the UN Emergency Response Force in Sinai, ten days after that peacekeeping operation had been established.
On the occasion of the holidays, congratulation notes were read, the results of the work of the units in the year behind us were summarized, and the most prominent individuals were given awards and commendations.
Holidays were marked in compliance with all prescribed measures to combat and prevent the spread of infectious disease COVID-19.
