Today, Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, has received members of the Serbian Armed Forces who participated in the “Best Warrior” military competition in the United States of America and scored excellent results.
They competed against soldiers and NCOs from the Ohio National Guard and Hungarian Defenxce Forces, winning first and fourth places in the soldier category and fifth and eighth ones in the NCO category. The winner of the soldiers’ competition was Lance Corporal Nikola Ivković from the 72nd Special Operations Brigade, who has since been promoted to the rank of sergeant.
While stressing that they showed the highest level of competence in their successful performance at the competition, using weapons and military equipment of the U.S. Armed Forces, General Mojsilović recognized the participants for the skills they demonstrated, their physical and mental strength and motivation to present their units and Serbian Armed Forces in the best possible way.
The Chief of the General Staff has pointed out that participation in such competitions is intended to promote skills, skillfulness, persistence and perseverance of the Serbian soldier, while contributing to the improvement of cooperation, understanding and confidence among members of the partner countries’ armed forces.
The Best Warrior Competition was staged at the James A. Garfield Camp in Ohio in early April, featuring a series of disciplines that tested physical and mental abilities, military knowledge and skills. This has been the third appearance of members of the Serbian Armed Forces at the U.S. competition.
