Today, a celebration was held at the Topčider barracks in Belgrade to mark the Day of the Training Command— January 15, in memory of the day when, in 1883, the Act on the Organization of the Military was passed, which defined for the first time the principles of recruitment and training soldiers performing military service.
On the occasion of the holiday, which is celebrated for the first time this year, awards were presented to the most outstanding individuals and key achievements were emphasized for building capabilities of this operational command of the Serbian Armed Forces, intended for individual training of all categories of personnel and development of the Territorial Forces.
In reviewing the achieved results, it was pointed out that the Training Command has successfully conducted all tasks and that by training active and reserve personnel throughout the year it has made a significant contribution to enhancing the skills of the Serbian Armed Forces members, and thus the overall combat readiness of units and the Serbian Armed Forces in total.
The ceremony in Topčider was attended by representatives of the organizational units of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, companies and institutions with which this command has established successful cooperation, as well as numerous other guests.
