Monday, 29.1.2024 | Training
Selective training for the second phase of candidates for admission to Special Force units under Project 5000 was completed last week with the execution of the 72-kilometer navigation-fitness march.
The general goal of this ten-week training is the selection of disciplined, highly motivated candidates psychophysically fit for admission to Special Force units of the Serbian Armed Forces and their inclusion in the further training process; however, the special goal is evaluation of their military skills and physical abilities and raising them to a higher level, as well as developing team spirit and ability to perform tasks under increased mental and physical stress.
During the march, which constitutes the final elimination phase of selective training, the candidates’ abilities to perform tactical and fire missions, individually and as part of a team, were checked and evaluated, along with moving with a map in unknown terrain and overcoming natural and artificial obstacles.
The candidates’ work was monitored and evaluated by a team of instructors from the 72nd Special Operations Brigade and Special-Purpose MP Detachment “Cobras”.
The most successful among them were provided with the opportunity to enter professional military service by joining these units, where they will be trained and advanced further for fulfilling complex and psychophysically demanding tasks. This week, they will sign six-month fixed-term employment contracts, with extremely stimulating salaries, with the possibility of contract extension for a period of up to three years and its subsequent renewal.
