Telecommunication Service Day Marked

Telecommunication Service Day – September 20, was marked with military ceremonies in the commands and units of the Serbian Armed Forces, in memory of the day when, in 1916, the Decree on the Military Telegraph was passed in Corfu, which laid the foundations for the organization of the Serbian Armed Forces communications.
On the occasion of the holiday, the Head of the Human Resources Directorate, Brigadier General Savo Iriškić, received a delegation from the Telecommunications Service, on behalf of the Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces.
Congratulating the Day of Service, General Iriškić pointed out that in the previous years, the Telecommunications Service had fulfilled its task and created conditions for the functioning of telecommunications and information security and continuity of command and control in the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces.
At the ceremonies of the Serbian Armed Forces units, the work results of the service in the period between two holidays were summarized, while awards and commendations were presented to the best individuals for their excellent work results.
