Traditionally, in anticipation of the New Year, members of the Serbian Armed Forces have organized campaigns of distribution of gift bags to children who will be spending the upcoming holidays in healthcare and social welfare institutions.
In a humanitarian campaign in Belgrade, that members of the Special Purpose MP unit “Cobras” have been implementing since 2007, gift bags were handed out to children of the Special Hospital for Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Neurology, Rehabilitation Clinic “Dr. Miroslav Zotović”, University Children's Clinic, Center For the Protection of Infants, Children and Youth, and Institute for Mother and Child Healthcare “Dr. Vukan Čupić”.
Members of the 4th Army Brigade have also conducted the New Year’s gift bags campaign for children of the Center for Development of Local Social Protection Services in Vranje, while members of the 126th ASEWG Brigade will hand the New Year’s Eve goodie bags to children of the Oncology Clinic, University Clinical Center of Niš, to make them more cheerful.
Members of the Serbian Armed Forces distributed more than 400 gift bags, socialized and took photos with the children, wishing them a Happy New Year filled with laughter and play. They will continue with similar humanitarian campaigns in the future as well, in order to make holidays brighter for children who are in need of attention and help the most.
