On the occasion of 24 December — Air Force and Air Defence Day
I wish to congratulate all members of the Air Force and Air Defence on 24 December — the Arm’s Day.
On that day, exactly 110 years ago, on the basis of the Decree of the Serbian Ministry of the Army and General Staff, Field Marshal Radomir Putnik passed the Decision on the Establishment of the Air Force Command based in Niš.
Drawing upon rich experience and knowledge, and showing a high level of professionalism, your units succeed, without exception, in responding to all the challenges they encounter.
The Republic of Serbia is aware of the extent to which it can rely on your engagement; therefore, you may rest assured that the efforts made to modernize Serbian Air Force will not diminish in the forthcoming period, either.
Confident that you will perform successfully the intended tasks in the future as well, contributing not only to the development of your units, but also to the overall affirmation of the Air Force of the Serbian Armed Forces, for which you have the state’s wholehearted support, I congratulate you on your jubilee.
