Based on order of Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces and President of the Republic Aleksandar Vučić, members of the Serbian Armed Forces Guard performed gun salutes on the eve of the Armistice Day in the First World War.
Ten volleys were fired from six artillery pieces each from the Sava Plateau of Kalemegdan, which was preceded by the raising of the national flag, the singing of the anthem of the Republic of Serbia and reading of the order for gun salutes.
The Armistice Day in the First World War has been celebrated as a national holiday in Serbia since 2012, in memory of November 11 1918, when the Entente powers signed an armistice with Germany and thus ended the First World War.
